Republic Day celebrations continue to pour in

JAMMU, Jan 28: The republic day celebrations continued to pour in from the various organisations. In this regard a function was organised by Retirees Police League District Jammu here today.
Function was organised and presided over by Karanjit Singh DSP (retd) President Retirees Police League District Jammu.
During the function a large number of Retirees participated in the function.
National flag was hoisted by most senior elder retired Police personal. Retirees pledged to be with the Serving Police Administration and UT Government.
They paid rich tribute to the Freedom Fighters and Martyrs who have sacrificed their precious lives for the Nation.
A similar function was also organised at Govt SRML Model Higher Secondary School.
The flag hoisting ceremony was taken place following march pass and cultural activities.
Following the hoisting ceremony, Anjali Gupta Principal of the school addressed the students and highlighted the essence of Republic day. She said that celebrating this Day is an opportunity to commemorate India’s being Republic.
The event was then concluded after sweets and refreshments were distributed among students and staff.
The 75th Republic Day was also celebrated in Udhampur.
A flag hosting -ceremony was performed by Headmaster Govt High School Sullon.
Republic day was celebrated at HS Sullon with zeal and enthusiasm. Students performed various activities on this national festival and afterwards, prizes and sweets were distributed amongst the participating students.
New Modern Academy, Chak Rakwalan also celebrated the Republic Day and the National Flag was hoisted at school premises by Shamim Akhter. All the teachers and non teaching staff were present for the occasion.
Thereafter, a beautiful patriotic dance-cum-skit was presented by the students.
Sanmati Vimal Jain Academy celebrated 75th Republic Day with great enthusiasm.
The celebrations began with unfurling of Tri-color by Principal Manvi Raina. Thereafter, a beautiful patriotic dance-cum-skit was presented by the students. A beautiful dance by Primary Wing students was also present.
Integrated Watershed Management Programme (IWMP) today celebrated Republic Day in Panchayat Bhawan, Jammu.
Chief Executive Officer, IWMP, Dr. Bharat Bhushan unfurled the national flag on the occasion. Ashok Kumar, Director, Rashtriya Uchtar Shiksha Abhiyan ( RUSA) was the distinguished guest on the occasion.
Financial Advisor/ CAO, IWMP Ashok Kumar, GIS expert Dr. Mithas Ahmad Dar, other officials of IWMP, Ankit of PMMI Cell and tiny tots were present on the occasion.
CEO exhorted all to work with devotion for building a strong nation.
The children and MTS of IWMP were presented gifts on the occasion.
Earlier, CEO participated in Republic Day celebrations of J&K IIPA and also paid floral tribute to war heroes at Balidan Stambh, Jammu. The program culminated with recital of National Anthem.
