Resentment against PDP for ticket to Qamar

RAJOURI, June 23: A large number of PDP workers and some leaders of zone and district unit of the party expressed resentment against the party mandate given to Qamar Choudhary (advocate) for Rajouri  Assembly seat.
Talking to media-persons here today after meeting, senior PDP leaders from district and zonal body, Fareed Manhas, Bilal Ahmed, Jahangir Khan, Irfan Khan, Mohd Sameer, Mudassir Hussain and others expressed strong resentment and said that party high Command should reconsider its decision regarding mandate for Rajouri seat. They pointed out that majority of the PDP workers in the district are in favour of party ticket to Shahzad Khan, who is soft spoken, dedicated, honest and most acceptable leader in the constituency.
Shahzad Khan is senior and more connected with the masses. He is better potential candidate  and even if the party high command conducts secret survey at its own, it would definitely get better feed back about Shahzad. Qamar has already changed several parties  and has no better public support as compared to Shahzad. They said the PDP stands for democracy  and welfare of the people but it is unfortunate that  it took decision about Rajouri, setting aside workers and local party  leaders’ aspirations and wishes.
They cautioned that party would lose the seat if it failed to reconsider its decision. The high command needs to take into confidence the ground level workers and their suggestions in such matters. They appealed the top PDP leadership to replace Rajouri candidate of the party.
