Sir,
May I draw your kind attention to the meeting of committee of secretaries held under the Chairmanship of Chief Secretary on 1-4-2013 where in it has been amply clarified that as per J&K Reservation Act people belonging to RBA and ALC who have been selected on that basis should work in those areas where they belong.
However these rules are flouted by almost all the departments regularly with impunity and there is no action on the officers flouting such rules.
Most of the officers/officials promotion and other benefits opt for urban postings instead of working in their own areas.
I would request all the implementing agencies to strictly comply with the Act in letter and spirit and ensure posting of such officers/officials in the respective areas they belong.
