JAMMU, Sept 30: Reservation has ensured participation of women folk in developmental activities, which has improved the quality of work in the villages.
This was stated by provincial president, National Conference Women Wing Laxami Dutta, while addressing a meeting of women workers at village Bhagtha-Chhamb, district Reasi, which was arranged by Toshi Devi, ex-provincial secretary, NC Women Wing.
While speaking, the women apprised Laxami Dutta about the problems being faced by them.
Dutta asserted that NC is committed to uplift the women folk particularly in villages and remote areas.
She assured the gathering that issues raised by the workers would be taken up with the concerned authorities for redressal.
Dutta asked the women folk to take benefits of schemes launched by the Government through Social Welfare Department and also educate women in their respective areas about the same.
Chandu Ram, Ram Pyari, Lajja Devi, Jyoti Devi and Bharti Devi also addressed the gathering.
