JAMMU, Aug 14: BJP MLC Surinder Ambardar today while expressing his satisfaction over the decision of the government of making a major reshuffle in Relief Organisation by transferring 17 zonal officers said that it was a positive step in the right direction
Ambardar while commenting on the major reshuffle by Relief Ministry said that the incumbent government is committed to bring efficiency and transparency in the Relief wing and more such reshuffles will follow in order to revamp the entire organisation so that the sufferings of the displaced community is mitigated to a larger extent
BJP MLC also stated that the newly transferred zonal officers should make sure that all the genuine issues of displaced people should be now resolved in the time bound manner like timely supply of ration slips ,issuance of new ration cards ,addition, deletion of family members and other zone related matters so that migrant community breathes a sigh of relief
Ambardar further added that all the displaced people who visit their respective zones should be treated with a dignified manner and a friendly attitude should be adopted by these zonal officers in dealing with the migrant community so that their faith and hope in Relief organisation gets reinstated and they start believing that their concerns can be taken care off in a specific time period
BJP MLC further stated with due course of time public grievance Durbar will also be held wherein on-spot redressal of the migrant issues will be done which will be attended by all the relief officials and he (Ambardar) will also attend it as and when it will be held
Ambardar also mentioned that a lot more needs to be done in order to revamp the entire Relief Organisation so that the sufferings of the people are mitigated fully.
Meaheile All Migrant Camp Coordination Committee (AMCCC) while showing its confidence in the decision said it was long due as migrants were put to many hardships due to callousness of the officials there. The meeting was chaired by Desh Rattan president AMCCC and others who attended it included R L Sharma, R N Dhar, R N Pandita, Ravinder Pandita and K V. They said this shows that State Government and Relief Commissioner are committed to bring transparency in the functioning of relief organization.
PDP leader and ex Sarpanch Nanana Ji Raina said the reshuffle which was over due will help in making the functioning of the organization transparent and also help in mitigating the sufferings of the displaced people in general and relief holders in particular.
