JAMMU, Dec 17: Residency Road Traders Association led by president, Pooja Kapoor today organised a “General Body Meeting” (GBM) here today.
With the majority of the members on board, many contemporary issues were discussed. To commence with the meet president Kapoor and her team requested the members to come up with the day to day issues they were facing. After the issues were tabled, a general discussion was held and remedies were recommended in order to minimise the inconvenience faced by the shopkeepers.
The issues pertaining to traffic mobility, parking and loading- unloading were raised by many members and taken seriously by the president. She assured that issues would be taken up with the concerned authority. When the Smart City project is still on hold as far as Residency Road market, problems like cleanliness in the market and unwanted electrical poles and draping electric wires were also discussed. As a lot of improvising work has been taken up by the administration, it was mutually decided to come up with a representation from the Residency Road Traders Association to the JMC for fixing these problems.
Members of RRTA also welcomed the major development projects initiative for the up-gradation of the City.
Prominent among those present in the meeting included Co-Chairperson Ramesh Chander Gupta, general secretary Jyoti Gupta, secretary Rahul Malhotra, treasurer Baffar Shah and office bearers Sahil Jain, Amit Jain and Suresh Gupta.
