DODA, Dec 31: Fire at a residential house here this morning caused massive damage.
Sources informed that fire broke out in the double storey residential house of Ateema Begum, widow of terrorist Abdul Qayoom, at upper Behota in Doda district.
Immediately after noting the smoke and flames coming out from the house, locals of the area along with cops rushed to spot and made attempts to control the fire.
They also informed the Fire and Emergency Services personnel about the incident and within no time fire tenders also joined the dousing operation.
After hectic efforts the fire was put off but till then it caused heavy damage to the two storeys of the house.
However, there was no loss of life or injury to anyone in the fire incident.
Police has registered a case in this regard and started investigation to find out the cause of the fire.
