KISHTWAR, Dec 3: A residential house here today was gutted in fire incident at densely populated Vasarkond area.
Sources informed that upper portion of the residential house suffered heavy damage and the valuables kept there were destroyed.
Flames started coming out all of a sudden from the wooden truss of the house belonging to Late Farooq Ahmed Hajam, son of Bahardin Hajam, resident of Vasarkond and in no time the entire house was engulfed in flames.
After getting information about the fire, locals responded immediately and after some time they were joined by the teams of Fire and Emergency Services, Police, Army, CRPF and NGOs.
With joint efforts of all the fire was brought under control.
Though there was heavy loss to property in the fire incident but fortunately there was no loss of life.
Cause of the fire was not known till last reports.
