JAMMU, July 14: The residents of Muthi More and Buta Nagar have expressed grave concern over delaying tactics adopted by Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) in construction of Sulbh toilet at Muthi More.
In a statement, R S Jasrotia representative of Jasrotia Welfare Society said that the issue was taken with authorities many times but to no avail. He said even the former Deputy CM, Kavinder Gupta issued instructions to the authorities concerned for speeding up the work but these instructions too did not yield fruit. He said over Rs 17lakh were sanctioned by the Government but the toilet complex has not been completed so far.
He also said that a transformer was installed in the area at Shishoo Samdian over three months back but the PDD authorities have till date failed to give connection to it with the result the residents of the locality re suffering badly.
