KATHUA, May 30: The residents of village Chack Sajjan held a protest demonstration today against the shortage of drinking water in their area for last few days.
The irate residents including the men and women held a protest dharna on National Highway and blocked the traffic movement for half an hour. They were demanding the regular supply of drinking water as they were facing acute shortage of water. The angry women including Sunita, Bimla and Neelam Devi said that in these hot days they are facing hardships due to erratic water supply. The senior officers of PHE Department rushed to the spot and pacified the irate people with promise of regular water supply.
