JAMMU, Apr 25: The residents of Lane Number 13-A, Laxmi Nagar, Muthi are facing problems due to dilapidated condition of the road and drains.
The residents stated that the aforesaid lane is in worst condition for the past several years and no one from the administration paid attention towards this.
“We are facing problems due to bad condition of the lane since several years, but no one from the administration paid attention towards this”, they added.
They also maintained that chocked drains and unnecessary grass along with road side is also a matter of concern.
“This lane is down from other areas and during monsoon and rainy seasons, the water drains out through this lane, thereby causing great inconvenience to residents. Several times, the JMC employees engaged in cleaning the lanes and drains and even cutting of unwanted grass were asked to perform their duties, but they paid no attention towards it and has put the life of residents at the stake of health hazards”, they stated.
The residents urge Health Minister and MLA Raipur-Domana Constitu-ency Bali Bhagat to look into the matter and direct the concerned department to repair the said lane for the convenience of the people.
They also urge the Minister for installation of the high mast lights in the lane by taking up the matter with the Power Development Department (PDD) and direct the JMC to issue directions to its employees for regular cleaning the lanes and drains of the area.
