JAMMU, May 19: The residents of Ward Number 25, Bharat Nagar, Rehari Colony are facing acute shortage of drinking water due to irregular and inadequate supply by Public Health Engineering (PHE) Department.
In a press statement, the inhabitants said that generally they were getting one time supply of drinking water in a day and for the last few days, the supply has been made on alternate days with very low pressure, which has created manifold problems for them.
Durga Dass Sharma, on behalf of residents of the area urged the PHE authorities to look into matter so as to provide regular water supply to the area.
He also asked the PHE Department to check the houses, where people have installed water sucking motors, which is also causing disruption in normal supply of water to general public.
