DODA, Jan 17: The residents of Ward Number 6 of Panchayat Bhotali held protest against Jal Shakti Department.
Carrying empty vessels, the residents assembled in their native area and held protest. They raised slogans against the officials of the Jal Shakti Department for not redressing the water scarcity issue.
The protestors alleged that they are facing water scarcity since long and no one from the Jal Shakti Department is taking steps to redress their demand.
The residents including women alleged that the Jal Shakti Department has failed to provide them regular drinking water.
The protestors appealed to the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir Manoj Sinha to direct the Jal Shakti Department for permanent solution of providing drinking water.
With a warning to intensify their protest, the residents dispersed from the spot.
