JAMMU, June 1: The residents held protest against Jal Shakti Department.
A large number of residents including women assembled near Qasim Nagar and held protest against the Jal Shakti Department.
Amid slogans, the protestors also blocked the vehicular movement on the road.
While speaking, the protestors said that the Jal Shakti Department is playing with their lives by not supplying the drinking water.
“We are facing acute water crisis and no one from the department is concerned about that”, they added.
On getting information, a team from Police Station SHO Inspector Sikander Singh rushed to the spot and take up the issue with the concerned officials of the Jal Shakti Department.
AEE of the Jal Shakti Department also reached the spot and assured the protesting people of redressing their issue in the shortest possible time.
On the assurance, the protestors dispersed and vehicular movement was restored on the road.
