RAMBAN, Jan 23: Amid snowfall, the residents of Kunda Pogal held protest demonstration against JPDCL Sub Division Ramsu, Ukhral.
The protestors said that electric supply to their areas was snapped since Friday evening after light rain and snowfall.
“The officials posted here are not honestly performing their duties and there is no accountability that is why despite paying electric dues and fee we are not getting proper electricity and service to our satisfaction in harsh weather, said a protestor Mohammad Deen.
The protestors alleged that these officials are passing buck from one to another to hoodwink innocent consumers of the sub division.
Another protestor said that they are living in darkness from the past two days and no one from the department is concerned about our lives. “The worst sufferers are the old age persons as harsh winter season is going on”, he said, adding that studies of the children are also affected without electricity.
Engineers of JPDCL Sub Division Ramsu and Ukhral confirmed disruption of electricity to the areas due to inclement weather however they said that concerned field staff is on job for rectifying the faults occurred due to rain and snowfall.
