JAMMU, June 30: The shopkeepers and residents of Lane 1, Talab Tillo led by Jyotshi Avtar Krishan today met MLA Jammu West, Sat Sharma (CA) who was on the tour of the area to asses the damage caused in the area by local nullah which flooded yesterday.
The residents informed the MLA that nullah water created havoc in the area and it entered the surrounding houses and shops. They demanded that the nullah be given proper treatment so that in future such condition does not prevail.
The people also demanded compensation for those shopkeepers whose goods got perished.
The MLA assured the people that all steps will be taken to tame the nullah.
