The Union Home Minister’s firm stance against terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir, as reported on December 15, 2023 in this paper certainly is a welcome move.
The extended invitation to youth bearing arms to embrace mainstream opportunities is a commendable effort towards lasting peace. The stringent measures, including disqualification for Government employment and termination of officials with terror links, reflect a resolute commitment to eradicate the remnants of violence.
The success of counter-terrorism measures and the flourishing youth engagement initiatives, such as scholarships and sports programs, are testimony to the positive transformation underway. The steadfast support for security agencies and the resounding call for embracing peace herald a new era for the region.
Kudos to the Government and security forces for their unwavering efforts in consigning terrorism to the annals of history.
