Restore OPS, enhance medical allowance of employees: LPEF

‘Constitute 8th Pay Commission’

JAMMU, Sept 23: All J&K Low Paid Employees Federation (LPEF) has strongly demanded restoration of Old Pension Scheme (OPS) and enhancement of Medical allowance of the Government employees and pensioners in the UT of Jammu and Kashmir.
In a press statement issued here today, convenor of the Federation, Achal Dev Singh Slathia has urged the Union Government to enhance Medical allowance of the employees and pensioners from Rs 300 to Rs 1000 per month in J&K UT.
He also demanded revision of daily wagers minimum wage to Rs 600 per day who are facing much hardships and release their pending wages for the last many years and also regularize their services. Slathia further urged the Government to release payment of compounded DA arrears for the period from January 2020 to June 2021.
The low paid employees leader requested the Government for the restoration of Old Pension Scheme (rules), in favour of the Government employees appointed from January 2010 in J&K. He requested the Prime Minister of the country to constitute 8th Pay Commission.
