JAMMU, Nov 26: In view of alleged time consuming approach of J&K Govt, challenging the verdict  on reservation in promotion, in the apex court as well as coming out with some political solution of the problem, the Jammu Kashmir Reserve Categories Socio-religious organisations through their organisational heads, retired employees forums in collaboration with Jammu & Kashmir Employees Association (JKRCEA) criticised the attitude of the State Government.
The representatives of these sections threatened mass agitation if the Govt failed in restoring the reservation in promotion for the SC/ST/OBC and other categories of employees. Piran Ditta, president Guru Ravi Dass Sabha said that with the formation of new Coalition Government, the reserved classes expected due benefit of the reservation but if the current court ruling on reservation is implemented, the Govt would deprive the reserved communities of their rights.

He said J&K High Court, in its judgment October 9, 2015, struck down some sections of the Jammu and Kashmir Reservation Act. The court struck down Section 6 of the Jammu and Kashmir Reservation Act, 2004, and Rules 9, 10 and 34 of the Jammu and Kashmir Reservation Rules 2005.
