Restrictions in parts of Srinagar, trains suspended

SRINAGAR, Oct 26: Amid call for shutdown by separatists, authorities have imposed restrictions in parts of Srinagar even as Railways announced to suspend its services in Kashmir for Friday.
The Deputy Commissioner Srinagar has ordered imposition of restrictions within the jurisdiction of police stations Nowhatta, MR Gunj, Khanyar, Rainawari, Safakadal, Maisuma and Kralkhud under Section 144 CrPc as a precautionary measure to prevent any disturbance in law and order.
A Railway official said that the decision to suspend the train services tomorrow was taken for security reasons.
