RAMNAGAR, Dec 28: Claiming that results in the recently held Assembly elections in the three States were significant, J&K Pradesh Youth Congress chief, Uday Chib today emphasized that the results have paved the path for Congress to return to power again.
Speaking at the day-long convention, organized here today, termed defeat of BJP in three States namely Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh as fall of the “saffron regime”. “Congress and its allies will be coming to power in the upcoming parliamentary as well as Assembly elections in J&K,” he predicted and further said that people have now realized that the BJP-led NDA Government at the Centre was befooling people by making false promises during its four and half year rule at the Centre.
Informing that loans of farmers are being waived off in Chhattisgarh to fulfill the Congress promise in the elections, Mr Chib said that the party would stand by its promises to the people.
Chib called upon the youth as well as the people of the area to strengthen the Congress party so as to come out victorious in the forthcoming elections. He appealed to the workers to remain united to strengthen the party at grass root level so that in future Congress gets maximum support of public in upcoming elections in the State.
The convention was organized with a view to highlight the policies and programme of Congress Party for the welfare of common masses. The convention was organised by District Youth Congress president Udhampur, Navneet Thakur.
Ajaz Choudahry, vice president PYC and Akash Bharat, both inchages of Udhumpur district also spoke on the occasion and motivated the youth Congress workers.
Krishan Bhagat, DCC president Udhampur, in his address, asked the party cadre to gear up for larger participation of people in the ensuing elections, stating that people are looking towards Congress as a strong alternative in the State.
Impressed by the policies and programme of the part, large number of youth joined the party fold and assured to work for strengthening the party at every nook and corners of Udhampur district.
