ReT factions come under single banner, threaten stir for demands

JAMMU, Sept 13: To highlight their issues more effectively,  two different factions of  Rehbar-e-Talim  Teachers  have  decided to come on single platform under the banner of All J&K Rehbar-e-Talim Teachers Forum.
This was announced during a joint press conference by leaders of both the factions,  State president of J&K ReT Forum Vinod Sharma and leaders of other faction, Bhupinder Singh, here today.
“This  is the time to show unity and work together for the betterment of the ReT community to get their genuine issues resolved by the Government,” they said.
Vinod Sharma expressed strong resentment against the Government  for its alleged callous approach to resolve their burning issues. He lamented that ReT Teachers under SSA are without salary for last 4 to 6 months and their family members are on the verge of starvation whereas despite  repeated requests,  their salary has not been released by the Government.
“ReT teachers,  who have completed their five years service more than an year ago have not been regularized till date and we appeal to the Director School Education Jammu to speed up the process of regularization,” he demanded.
He also demanded the regularization of KGBV Teachers and release of Mid Day Meals dues, which are pending for the last one and half years.
The ReT Forum leaders  threatened to hold massive protests through out the State if their pending SSA salary is not released  before Eid.
Others,  who were present in the press conference,  included Sukhdev Singh, Rajesh Jamwal, Sham Sharma, Younis Rahi, Sukesh Khajuria,  Gulzabir Daing, Subash Chander, Naresh Sharma, Kuldeep Katoch and  Surjeet Singh.
