ReT Forum demands release of teachers’ 3-months salary

UDHAMPUR, Oct 7: ReT Teachers’ Forum has urged upon the School Education authorities to release the pending wages of the RET teachers.
In a meeting of the Forum held at Udhampur under the leadership of District president, Lekh Raj Parihar and State Chief Coordinator, Sukhdev Singh Sumbria, the members/ teachers from eleven Education Zones of the district participated.
While speaking on the occasion, Parihar highlighted the issue of release of salary as per 7th Pay Commission in favour of 41000 teachers and masters of the state as per the commitment of the Governor’s administration during the indefinite chain hunger strike of TJAC, as these teachers are waiting anxiously.
He said that due to non-release of their salaries for last more than three months, they have been facing a lot of hardships to meet out their basic needs including proper food, clothing and required medicines of their families and appealed the Governor administration to fulfill their commitment by releasing  salaries as per 7th Pay Commission, as festive season is approaching ahead.
Sukhdev Singh Sumbria while speaking appealed the Governor to expedite the process of delinking of salary from MHRD to State budget to find the once for all solution of this problem. He also demanded the immediate regularization of ReT teachers who have completed their five years satisfactory ReT period and whose files are lying in different offices for a long, due to which these teachers are suffering badly.
