ReT Forum deputation meets, Advisor, Finance Secretary

JAMMU, June 14: A deputation of ReT Teachers Forum led by its State president Vinod Sharma along with State chief coordinator, Sukhdev Singh Sumbria and other State Executive members called on Advisor, Khurshid Ahmed Ganie and Finance Secretary, A.K. Mehta today in their respective office chambers in Civil Secretariat Srinagar regarding the pending issues of the cadre.
While interacting with Advisor, Vinod Sharma put forth the burning issue of undergraduate teachers who haven’t been yet converted to teachers’ grade II . He appealed the Advisor to issue an order regarding their conversion to teachers Grade II by removing the bar of graduation so that these teachers may not suffer any more and get all sorts of benefits including 7th Pay Commission.
Sharma also highlighted the issue of head teachers who are without salary for last four months and urged the advisor to resolve this issue by releasing their salaries out of State plan.
Advisor assured the deputation that both the issues of undergraduates teachers as well as head teachers will be resolved soon as the Government is very much concerned regarding the same.
Later the deputation also met with Finances Secretary, A.K. Mehta and urged him to resolve the issues of undergraduates teachers and head teachers as he is one of the Committee members constituted for the resolution of issues.
He assured the deputation that Finance Department will ensure resolution of both the issues on priority basis and work on same is going on.
Others who were also part of the deputation included Javid Ahmed, Imtiyaz Ahmed ,  Aijaz Ahmed ,  Ghulam Nabi and Abdul Qayoom.
