UDHAMPUR, Dec 2: All J&K ReT Teachers’ Forum has appealed all Education Volunteers (EVs) and ReTs of the district to participate in large number in the December 26 protest followed by hunger strike on December 27, so that their voice could reach to the deaf ears of the Government.
The meeting of the Forum which held here under the chairmanship of State president, Vinod Sharma and district president, Lekh Raj Parihar, expressed deep concern over the casual approach of the State Government to resolve their genuine demands which included immediate regularization of EVs who have completed seven years of service as general line teachers, inclusion of five years ReT period and seven years EVs period for seniority benefits, old pension scheme in favour of ReTs appointed before January 1, 2010, transfer policy in favour of regularized ReT teachers and provision of SRO-43 in favour of ReTs as well as EVs.
The meeting also stressed the Government to issue formal order for enhancement of honorarium of ReTs from Rs 1500 per month to Rs 3000 per month as announced in the Assembly Session in March 2012 and release immediately the pending four to five months salary of regularized ReTs under SSA in districts Poonch, Doda, Ramban, Rajouri, Kathua, etc.
While speaking Parihar, said that the delaying tactics of the Government have forced them to adopt the path of agitation, which will be started on December 26. He urged all the ReTs and EVs of the district to participate in large number to press the Government for redressing their demands.
