ReT teachers highlight demands

JAMMU, Oct 28: All J&K ReT Teachers’ Forum today held a routine monthly meeting at Exhibition Ground here wherein the delegates from all the districts of Jammu province participated.
The meeting chaired by State president, Vinod Sharma, highlighted the demands of the ReTs and EVs.
Speaking on the occasion, Vinod Sharma, urged the Government to fulfill its commitment with the ReTs and EVs teachers, to fulfill their genuine demands including regularization of EVs as general line teachers, who have completed their seven years of service since March 2010 onwards, inclusion of five years ReT period for seniority benefits, old pension scheme for ReTs appointed before January 1, 2010, transfer policy for regularized ReT teachers, benefit of SRO 43 for ReTs and EVs and issuance of order regarding enhancement in the wages of ReTs from Rs 1500 to Rs 3000 per month as announced in the Assembly Session in March 2012.
Meanwhile, the Forum expressed resentment on the non-disbursement of salary to regularized ReT teachers of districts Poonch, Rajouri, Doda, Ramban, Kathua, etc under SSA for last two to four months, who are without salary even after the order of Finance Minister to disburse the same on the eve of Eid. The Forum sought the intervention of Chief Minister in this regard.
Arvind Sharma, Lekh Raj Parihar, Subhash Chander, Mangal Singh, Mohd Mustafa, Ramesh Chander, Gurcharan Singh and many others spoke on the occasion.
