POONCH, Sept 30: The ReT teachers of the district today held a protest demonstration in the premises of Chief Education Officer Poonch under the chairmanship of forum President Najam Jafri.
The protest was held under the aegis of ReT Teachers Forum. ReTs from all the tehsils of the district participated in the protest and shouted slogans in favour of their demands.
They alleged that despite repeated requests their salary has not been released from last eight months. They also expressed strong resentment over delay in implementation of Government Order for regularization of converted ReTs in District on the pretext of collecting case files.
During the protest, Manjeet Kumar Sharma, president UTI, Amrik Singh, president EJAC and PDP senior leader, Shah Mohd Tantray and Riyaz Aatish come forward and extended their cooperation for the redressal of their demands.
Later on the assurance of Chief Education Officer, Poonch, Abdul Hamid Fani, that their salary will be released as soon as possible, ReT Forum call off their strike for 10 days.
