RAJOURI, Nov 28: A large number of ReT teachers from district Rajouri today took out a protest march against the Government in the town here.
The teachers in large number assembled at Children Park in the town here in the morning and started protest demonstration. They raised slogans against the Government and also in favour of their demands. They were demanding release of the salary of teachers working under SSA, regularization of ReT teachers who have completed their five years and stoppage of harassment.
The teachers marched towards DC office and blocked the road for some time at Gujjar Mandi Chowk and later submitted a memorandum to Deputy Commissioner Rajouri for further submission to Commissioner/ Secretary Education. On the occasion the trade unionists lambasted the Government for autocratic attitude towards the nation builders and warned the Government to fulfill their genuine demands without any further delay.
They also warned to conduct Gherao of State Assembly along with their family members and maintained that the Government will be responsible for consequences.
Prominent among those who spoke on the occasion included Aftab Tantray, Jahangir Khan, Majeeb Malik, Pupil Chowdhary, Arif Khan, Brinder Bardawaj Abishak Kumar Asif Chowdhary, Ashwani Sharama and others.
