KISHTWAR, June 11: Rehbar-e-Taleem teachers took out a large protest rally in remote area of Paddar Sub Divisional headquarters, Gulabgarh today.
A large number of teachers from entire Sub Division assembled at ZEO office Atholi and then held strong protest demonstration. They were demanding release of their wages and delinking of their salary and benefit of 7th Pay Commission.
After holding protest there for some time, then they started protest rally and reached Gulabgarh (Paddar) Sub Divisional headquarters, after passing through main bazaar. They were shouting slogans against the State Education authorities and the PDP-BJP Government. They demanded regular release of their wages.
Then they reached the office of SDM Paddar where they held protest dharna for about two hours. They also submitted a memorandum to the SDM for the concerned Education Minister. Several teachers and trade unionists addressed the gathering and sought intervention of Chief Minister and Finance Minister in this regard.
