MENDHAR, Aug 23: Rehber-e-Taleem (ReT) teachers from Mankote zone of Mendhar Sub-Division in district Poonch are without wages for the last over nine months.
A large group of ReT teachers from this zone today lodged their strong protest with the Zonal Education Officer (ZEO) Mankote in his office today and revealed that they will not be able to continue their work if the attitude of the higher authorities remained so. They said that they were facing starvation as they were not paid their wages by the concerned authorities. They warned to put lock on their schools if the School Education authorities failed to pay their wages within a week. They sought the intervention of Director School Education Jammu and Dy Chief Minister Tara Chand in this regard.
