JAMMU, May 11: A retired Block Development Officer (BDO) has been arrested for raping a woman.
As per police sources, a 30-year-old woman lodged a complaint with Police Station Nagrota alleging that a retd BDO identified as Kulvinder Kumar, son of Ramesh Raj, a resident of District Doda, at present Toll Post Nagrota invited her in his house and raped her.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 203/19 under Section 376 RPC was registered at Nagrota Police Station and hunt was launched to nab the rapist.
On specific information, a team from Nagrota Police Station led by SHO Inspector Deepak Pathania conducted raid and arrested the accused.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
