JAMMU, Aug 1: Social worker and SSP (Retd) Bhupinder Singh today launched a “Voter Awareness” Campaign at Suchetgarh Assembly constituency.
The aim of the campaign is to make the voters aware about realizing value of their invaluable vote.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr Singh said, “in a democratic system, where people choose their representatives, election is the only medium through which voters can decide future of the State”, adding “we have always been talking about the electoral reforms and also show our concern for choosing suitable candidates as people’s representative but this is only lack of awareness among the voters that results victory of those who have unparliamentarily behavior, criminal background and unfair track-record”.
He said, “before casting your vote this time think about all such false and fraud promises made by candidates in previous elections”, adding “in the coming days our organization (Public Relations Commission) is going to organize various activities at different levels to spread awareness among voters to realize the value of their vote”.
