JAMMU, Mar 8: Voicing their concern over the apathy of the State Government over the issues of superannuated retired teachers of Government Degree Colleges in Jammu and Kashmir, they have formed their body under the name and style of Retired College Teachers Association.
This Association will highlight the issues related to the retired college teaching community, such as payment of retirement benefits on time, inclusion of experienced teachers in Advisory capacity in the Higher Education Department, representation in State Public Service Commission and other related bodies, representation in University Council and other Committees, issues related to conduct & evaluation of University examinations, etc.
A working committee of the Association has been constituted with Dr Vijay Kumar Sharma as president, Dr Mohd Zaman Chaudhary as vice president and Dr Satesh Bhan as general secretary.
