JAMMU, Dec 8: Voluntary Retired SRTC employees in a protest held outside Press Club of Jammu today under the chairmanship of Dev Raj Bali, president VRS Employees Union strogly criticized the Government for playing a foul game with them.
The demonstrators said they have not been paid 6th Pay Commission benefits and arrears with effect from January 1, 2006 for which they have been struggling for the past so many years. They added that 16 of them have expired in absence of medication for want of money.
They appealed the Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti to put up their case in the ensuing budget session so that they may be able to get their dues.
Others who spoke were Balwinder Singh, Surinder Singh, B B Sharma, Kulbir Singh, Dwarka Nath, Gulshan Singh, J D Singh, Prem Nath etc.
