Retired Employees Welfare Association highlights issues

JAMMU, Nov 13: Retired Employees Welfare Association held a meeting under the leadership of its Chairman Dalbir Singh Sudan, in which large number of retired employees took part.
During the meeting, the participants expressed concern over the rising prices of the essential commodities.
They urged the Government to immediately release 10 per cent and 7 per cent DA, enhancement in the medical allowance from Rs 300 to Rs 2,000 per month, coverage of retired employees under medical insurance, enhancement of pension after every 5 years and enhancement of 30 per cent pension, who attains 75 years of age.
The association appealed to all the retired employees to remain united till their demands are fulfilled.
Those who spoke were Rajinder Singh, Dhanant Singh, Gurdev Singh, Uttam Kohli, Dr Subash, Dr Vidaya Sagar, Rapheal, KD Singh and Dr Avtar Singh.
