JAMMU, Mar 25: A monthly meeting of Retirees Police League District Jammu was held here on Saturday.
A press statement said that the meeting chaired by Karanjit Singh, DSP (retired), President Retirees Police League District, Jammu, discussed among other issues the non-availability of doctors especially orthopaedic and skin physicians in Police Hospital Sarwal and non-availability of the prescribed medicines in the hospital.
The meeting also demanded that the retired police personnel be given priority in treatment and check-ups and be exempted from income taxes.
The participants in the meeting further demanded that reservation should be provided to the wards of the police personnel at the time of recruitment.
Among others the meeting was attended by senior police officers including Ranjit Singh (retired SSP), Choudhary Chirag Din, Sarwar Chouhan, Makhan Lal Sharma, Mahandeep Singh, Savita Parihar, Tabassum (retired SSPs); SR Datta, BL Kaul, Subhash Raina, Mukesh Kumar, DD Sharma, Ashok Bhagat (retired SPs), Yoginder Singh, Daljit Singh, Dalip Singh, Kuldip Raj, Vijay Khajuria, Vijay Chowdhary, Kamal Sharma, Ajay Punjabi, Mohan Singh (retired DySPs) and Mohammad Sadiq and Satpal.
