Retired police personnel highlight grievances

RAJOURI, Nov 7: Implementation of 7th Pay Commission, enhancement of Medical Allowance to Rs 3000 per month and 15% reservation in recruitment quota were the demands discussed in a meeting of Retired Police Personnel Forum, held under its president Om Parkash Sharma.
Other demands discussed in the meeting pertained to grant of Rs 50,000 at the time of marriage of daughters of retired police personnel from Police Welfare Fund and removal of pay anomalies in respect of retired ASIs and Head Constables.
The speakers who included Om Parkash Sharma (president), Taj Hussain (vice president), Tufail Hussain and Abdul Rashid, stressed that the concerned authorities should consider their genuine demands.
The participants expressed gratitude to DIG Rajouri-Rajouri Range and Senior Superintendent of Police Rajouri for for adhering to the grievances of retired police personnel.
