Retired Police Personnel reject Govt order

JAMMU, Nov 5: J&K Retired Police Personnel NGO & ORS Forum today said that it is not going to accept the Government order No 299-F of 2014 regarding pay anomalies as its effect is being given prospective and not as retrospective.
In a statement issued here today the Forum said with the issuance of this order a lot of injustice has been done with retired police personnel. It demanded that the order be given effect from 1996.  The Forum further demanded enhancement of Medical Allowance from Rs 300 to Rs 1000 as per 6th Pay Commission, free of cost medicine and treatment be provided to the retired police personnel form the Police Headquarters, besides reimbursement of medical bills be provided to the police retirees.
The Forum further demanded 15 percent quota should be reserved for the recruitment in police, Rs 50,000 be sanctioned at the time of marriage of daughters and sons of retired police personnel, Rs 50,000 be sanctioned for the family at the time of death of a retired police personnel for performance of his last rites and one rank one pension policy of Union Government be also followed by the State Government.
