Retiree officials accorded warm send-off

JAMMU, Jan 31: The officials retired from various departments accorded a warm send off in separate functions held here today.
Dr. Rajeev Kumar Sharma, Director Health Services Jammu, who superannuated today after rendering 34 years of glorious service in the department, was accorded a warm send off by the staff of Directorate of Health Services Jammu.
An impressive function was organized in the premises of the Directorate, where Dy. Director Health Services (Schemes and Dentistry) Jammu and other officers/ officials complimented Dr. Rajeev Kumar Sharma for his contribution to the Health Department.
Dr. Rajeev Kumar Sharma started his services as Medical Officer at AD Panchound Block Basantgarh and served the department in various other administrative capacities including as Deputy Medical Superintendent Government Hospital Sarwal, Medical Superintendent Chest Disease Hospital Jammu, Medical Superintendent Government Hospital Sarwal, Chief Medical Officer Reasi, Deputy Director (HQ) Health Services Jammu.
The staff of Directorate wished him good health and prosperous post-retirement life and thanked him for his guidance, support and cooperation.
S. Amarjit Singh Isher (Physical Education Lecturer in Govt. Hr. Sec. School, Paloura was accorded a warm farewell on his Superannuation after completing about 33 years of service in different capacities (PET,PEM,PEL,NCC Officer, Writer, Hockey Player and Coach.)
A grand function was organized in the school premises in the Honour of S. Amarjit Singh Isher under the guidance of the School Principal Shikha Malhotra.
Family Members of S.Amarjit Singh, dignitaries from Department of Youth Services & Sports, Staff members & students attended the function.
In a poignant farewell event held at the ex-Serviceman Higher Secondary School in Thathri, the Zonal Education Officer (ZEO), Amjad Hussain bid adieu to his illustrious career.
Amjad Hussain, celebrated for his dedication, hard work, and unwavering honesty throughout his tenure, was lauded as a beacon in Zone Thathri, leaving behind a legacy that sets a high benchmark for his successors.
The retiring officer’s service was acknowledged by DDC Chairman Dhananter Singh Kotwal, who urged educators to emulate his commitment in the noble cause of nation-building.
Roshal Lal, Labour Officer, Jammu was also accorded a warm send off in a function held here today.
He rendered 35 years of service to the department in various official capacities and was a dedicated and hardworking official.
All the staff members of his office wished him a healthy and happy post retirement life.
Central University of Kashmir (CUK) faculty members, research scholars and students, led by Vice-Chancellor, Prof. A Ravinder Nath accorded a warm send off to Prof. Wali Mohammad Shah, Dean, School of Physical and Chemical Sciences, Director DIQA and Head Department of Mathematics, on attaining the age of superannuation.
Speaking on the occasion, Vice-Chancellor, Prof. A Ravinder Nath, highlighted the significant contributions made by Prof. Wali Mohammad Shah in the academic growth and progress of the university, his parent department (and other departments) and the Directorate of Internal Quality Assurance (DIQA).
He said the function has been organised to celebrate the accomplishments of Prof. Wali Muhammad Shah.
In his address, Prof. Wali Muhammad Shah thanked the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. A Ravinder Nath and faculty members for organizing the farewell function and their love and affection.
He described his stint in the CUK as a memorable one and thanked all the functionaries for their unflinching support and cooperation during his tenure.
Kanshi Ram, retired after attaining the age of superannuation from Town Planning Organization, Jammu.
All the officers, officials of Town Planning Organization, Jammu gave him a warm farewell and wished for his energetic post retirement life.
Pawan Kumar Sharma retired after completing 35 years of service as a feeder Manger in Power Development Department (JPDCL).
A function was also organised on the occasion of his retirement.
The officials of Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology-Jammu (SKUAST-J) accorded a warm farewell to the retiring employees in a function held here today.
The function was organized under the leadership of Prof B. N. Tripathi, Vice Chancellor, SKUAST Jammu who was the Chief Guest on the occasion.
During the function, S. Gurdeep Singh, Accounts Officer, Faculty of Agriculture/ Estate Division, Er. Ashish Katoch, Technical Officer, KVK, Jammu and Tirath Ram Sharma, Sr. Technician, Division of Veterinary Mircobi-ology, F.V.Sc. & A.H. were felicitated for contribution in their respective fields.
