Retirees accorded warm send off

JAMMU, May 31: A grand farewell function was organized today in J&K Assembly complex to give a warm send off to Secretary of the State Assembly, MR Singh, who retired today after attaining the age of superannuation.
Besides officers and officials of the Assembly complex, Deputy Chief Minister, Kavinder Gupta also graced the occasion and wished the retiring officer a happy and prosperous post-retirement life.
Jammu University Non-Teaching Employees Union accorded a warm send off to Pawan Kumar, Assistant Registrar (Directorate of Distance Education), Neena Gupta (Assistant Registrar, Examination), Parveen Kumar Verma (Section Officer, Confidential and Sudesh Kumari, Section Officer (DDE), who retired today after attaining the age of superannuation. The farewell function was held in the office chamber of the Union at Administration Block, University of Jammu.
A warm farewell was accorded to Ramesh Chander, Assistant Livestock Offic-er, who retired from the Gover-nment service on attaining the age of superannuation today. Director, Sheep Husbandry Department, Jammu, Dr Sanjeev Kumar, while speaking at the function, recalled the services rendered by the retiring officer and wished him a happy and healthy post retirement life.
Staff and officers of Directorate of Agriculture, Jammu accorded warm and affectionate farewell to Swarkar Anand, Plant Protection Officer, Jammu, Prithipal Singh Chandan (Subject Matter Specialist) Directorate of Agriculture, Jammu, Janak Raj Choudhary (Field Assistant), District Soil Survey Officer, Jammu and Romesh Dutt (Peon), Assistant Soil Conservation Officer (I&P) Jammu, who retired today after rendering 36- 39 years of service to the Department.
Director Agriculture, Jammu, HK Razdan, speaking in the programme, wished the retiring officers a very healthy, happy and prosperous post retirement life. Warm wishes were also extended to other retiring officers and staff of the department namely Sunil Kumar Gandotra, Chief Agriculture Officer, Udhampur, Raman Arora, Assistant Soil Conservation Officer, Rajouri, Rajinder Kumar Raina, Subject Matter Specialist, Nowshera, Sambhoo Nath Bodh, Subject Matter Specialist, Pranoo, Raj Kumar Makoo, AEO, Ramban, Adarsh Misri, Agriculture Extension Officer, Dansal, Shiban ji Kaul, Agriculture Extension Officer, Budhal, Satish Kumar Matoo, Research Assistant, Kishtwar, Ajay Kumar Saproo, Agriculture Assistant, Irrigation & Flood Contral, Kulbhushan Chander, Junior Agriculture Extension Officer, Dansal, Rattan Lal, Junior Agriculture Extension Officer, Udhampur, Sukh Dev Singh, Field Assistant, Rajouri, Gopal Krishan, Driver, Udhampur.
Security Headquarters accorded a warm send off to Rupender Kumar Chalotra, Staff Officer to ADGP Security and Head Constable Ghulam Mohammad Bhat, who retired today on attaining the age of superannuation. On the occasion, ADGP Security, Munir Ahmad Khan, presented mementos to the retiring officers.
Alok Kumar, IGP Security, Maqsood-ul-Zaman, SSP Security Kashmir, Ashok Kumar Sharma SSP Tech SHQ, Laeeq Ahmad Dar CPO SHQ, Mohd Yousuf, ADO SHQ, Farooq Ahmad, Private Secretary to ADGP Security and Farooq Ahmad Dar, Assistant Accounts Officer were also present at the farewell function.
Kathua Police today gave a warm send off to four retiring police officers and officials namely SI Babu Ram, ASI Nand Singh, ASI Kirpal Singh and HC Chiman Lal. The send off function was chaired by Shridhar Patil, SSP Kathua. Nasir Ahmed, Additional SP Kathua and other senior serving and retired officers were also present on the occasion. Besides members of Retired Police welfare association were also participated to grace the occasion.
Vinod Bala, Laboratory Assistant in District Institute of Education & Trainings, Reasi, retired today after rendering about 30 years of service to Education department. In an emotional farewell function, Virender Dutta, senior Lecturer threw light on the service career. Relatives and friends of the retiring official were also gathered at the function.
A function was also organized in the premises of High Power TV Transmitter, Patoli, Jammu, to accord warm send off to Mangal Das, who retired today after serving in the department for 26 years. Deputy Director, DDK Jammu, along with the staff members of DDK/HPT Jammu wished the retiring official a happy and prosperous retired life.
A warm send off was given to Balbir Singh, Chauffer of PHE Department, who retired today after attaining the age of superannuation. The function was organized by PHE Department Drivers, Cleaners Union, Jammu in the office of PHE Mechanical South Division, Jammu.
