JAMMU, Jan 31: Armed Police Headquarters J&K accorded a warm farewell to Bashir Ahmad Peer, Assistant Accounts Officer and Ramesh Kumar, Sub-Inspector of APHQ J&K who retired from service on January 31, 2017 on attaining the age of Superannuation.
An impressive farewell function was organized by the officers and staff members of Armed Police Headquarters J&K at Police Auditorium Gulshan Ground Jammu in the honour of these officers as a good will gesture and was chaired by Additional DGP L Mohanti. Almost all the senior officers were present on the occasion.
While addressing the ADGP highlighted the contributions of retiring officers to the department during their service and complimented the retirees for rendering unblemished services to the department during their entire service career and wished them a healthy and prosperous post retirement life.
The ADGP Armed joined by senior officers presented mementos to AAO Bahir Ahmad Peer and SI Ramesh Kumar on behalf of officers and officials of Armed Police Headquarters as a token of love.
SKUAST-Teaching Association Jammu (SKUAST-TAJ) accorded an emotive and warm farewell to Dr Rajkumari Kaul, Professor and Head, Division of Food Science and Technology on his superannuation after rendering distinguished services of more than 37 years. Vice Chancellor Dr Pradeep K Sharma while appreciating Dr Koul’s contributions in research and extension selflessly wished him a very healthy and prosperous post-retired life. President Teaching Association Dr Vikas Sharma listed her achievements / contributions in the discipline of Food Science and in the overall progress of SKUAST-Jammu. Besides, all the Statutory Officers, HODs, Faculty members of varsity, the function was attended by Dr JP Sharma (Director Research), Dr KS Risam (Director Extension), Dr SA Mallick (Dean Basic Sciences), Dr DP Abrol (Dean Agriculture) and Dr RK Arora.
Ajay Khajuria, the outgoing Registrar of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University was given a cordial farewell today as he completed his term. Ajay Khajuria is a retired KAS officer and had joined the university as Registrar on 28th February 2014. Prof V K Bhat, Dean Faculty of Sciences will hold the charge of Registrar of the university till further orders.
Bidding a formal adieu, the Vice Chancellor Dr Sanjeev Jain said that Khajuria has a clear and transparent way of working and dedication to work with positivity.
The faculty and the administrative staff of the Central University of Kashmir (CUK) today accorded a warm send off to the Controller of Examinations, Dr Nazir Ahmad Gilkar, on the completion of his term in office.
Vice-Chancellor, Prof Mehraj ud Din Mir and other officers and Head of the departmentsre also present on the occasion.
Addressing the gathering, Prof Mehraj ud Din Mir described Dr Gilkar as a man of integrity, discipline and high repute and said that Dr Gilkar has contributed significantly as the Controller of Examinations and in different capacities while working in the varsity.
Jammu University Non-Teaching Employees Union (JUNTEU) accorded a warm send off to Chander Shekar, Senior Driver who retired after attaining age of superannuation today.
Union president Pawan Singh hailed the contribution retiring Chander Shekar.
The farewell was accorded during a simple but impressive function in presence of Sham Sharma, Sanjeev Chadha Vikas Langer, Abhinav Sharma, Mrs Sunita Amla, Kewal Kumar, Mrs Padam Shri Padmini, Joginder Chib, Jarnail Singh, Jasjeet Singh and Raghubir Singh Bandral, members of the Union.
A warm farewell was given to ASI Shanti Saroop of Kalakote and ASI Tilak Raj of Jhajjar Kotli by the officers of District Police Jammu on their superannuation, by the Jammu Police. The function was organized in DPL Jammu. Dy SP DAR Gourav Mahajan, Line Officer and other staff members wished them for a happy and prosperous future life. They appreciated their services rendered for the general public of J&K State. At last each retiree was honored with a cheque of Rs 50,000 as retirement gift (out of Police Welfare Fund).
Section Officer of Sericulture Department, Joginder Paul Dutta, was accorded warm send off by officers and staff of the Department on his attaining age of superannuation today after rendering more than 33 years of service. All the officers and officials wished him a happy and prosperous healthy post retirement life.
Governor N N Vohra, and officers and the staff of the Raj Bhavan accorded a warm send off to Fayaz Ahmed Handoo, Section Officer in the Governor’s Secretariat, who attained superannuation today.
At the farewell function, the Governor observed that Handoo was the longest serving officer among the permanent staff of the Raj Bhavan Secretariat who had served for 40 years with the 7 Governors.
Lauding Handoo’s long and dedicated service the Governor urged him to pen his memoirs and write about the working of the various Governors he had served with.
The Directorate of Information department today bade an affectionate adieu to Rattan Lal, an employee of the Department, who attained superannuation after rendering 33 years of services in the department.
Director Information, Dr Shahid Iqbal Choudhary, while complimenting the employee, appreciated his dedicated services towards the department and wished him a healthy and prosperous post retirement life.
Joint Directors, Majid Zargar and Manisha Sarin, Deputy Director, Avleen Kour besides other officers and officials were present on the occasion.
Subash Chander Dubey, Nursery Registration Inspector, working in the office of Horticulture Development Office, Barnoti district Kathua was accorded warm send off on his retirement today. CHO Kathua Ajit Kumar Sharma and others lauded the services of retiree and wished him a happy, healthy and prosperous post-retirement life.
Mrs Shanti Devi, wife of Rattan Lal Dogra, teacher, Government Middle School Kundrorian, Katra, who retired from active service today after rendering over 28 years service to the Education Department was accorded warm send off by the students and staff of the school.
Roshan Lal Thakur, an employee of the Oriental Bank of Commerce who attained age of superannuation today was accorded warm and affectionate send off by the manager and staff of the Bank branch.
Officers and employees of Sheep Husbandry Department Jammu today accorded warm to Hamid Hussain Malik on his attaining age of superannuation.
