Retirees given warm send off

JAMMU, Oct 31: Seventeen officers and officials of Agriculture Department in Jammu attained superannuation today.
Santokh Raj Galotra, Joint Director Agriculture, J&K State Land Use Board Jammu superannuated today after serving more than 34 years in various capacities in the Department. S Baboo Singh, Deputy Director, Farmers Training Centre attained superannuation after 32 years services today. Director Agriculture A K Malhotra appreciated the sincerity and dedication of the outgoing officers. He also extended best wishes to other retiring officers who included Kuldeep Raj Sharma DAO (Extension), Rajouri, Arvind Gupta DAO (Extension) Samba, S Amrik Singh AEO Budhal, Vijay Kumar Sharma AEO Nowshera, Arun Kumar Nargotra, Mushroom Development Assistant Udhampur, Ramesh Lal APO Ramban, Dev Raj Bhagat JAEO Udhampur, Mohd Shafi Shah JAEO Ramban, S Lakhvinder Singh Driver SM Farm Chinora, Rattan Chand Field ASssistant Udhampur and Pritam Lal Orderly Udhampur. Vijay Kumar Upadhyaya, president Agriculture Officers Welfare Forum also spoke. President NGAGA Pradeep Sharma conducted the proceedings of the event.
Officers and staff of Sheep Husbandry Department Jammu accorded warm send off to Deputy Director (Feed and Fodder) Ashok Kumar Kaw and Orderly Janak Raj who retired from service on attaining age of superannuation. Director Sheep Husbandry Dr Sant Ram recalled the services rendered by the retiring employees and wished them a happy and prosperous post retirement life.
Goutam Chand Sharma, Section Officer in the Directorate of Horticulture Jammu, who retired on superannuation was accorded warm and affectionate farewell in a simple but impressive function. The function was attended by Director Horticulture and other staff, which concluded with presentation of mementos as a token of love.
Jammu University Non Teaching Employees Union accorded warm send off to Section Officer Lachman Dass, who superannuated today. Vice president of the union Ashwani Bakshi hailed the contribution of retiring SO. Others present on the occasion were Sham Sharma, general secretary, Vikas Langer organizing secretary, Abhinav Sharma treasurer, Sunita Amla, Joginder Singh, Kewal Kumar and Jasjeet Singh, members of the union.
A farewell function was held at DPL to accord warm send off to 10 officers and officials who retired on superannuation today. SSP Jammu Dr Sunil Gupta, SP Headquarters Romesh Chander Kotwal, DySP DAR Gourav Mahajan, RI DPL Inspr Sohail Rashid and other staff members with them a happy and prosperous future life. Each retiree was honoured with a cheque of Rs 50,000 as retirement gift. The retirees were SI Rattan Singh R/o Poonch, ASI Durga Dass R/o Rakh Manghal, Bishnah, ASI Mohd Aziz R/o Pamrote Poonch, ASI Kamal Singh R/o Bari Brahmana, ASI Vijay Kumar R/o Gupwal Samba, HC Rattan Lal R/o Badola Akhnoor, HC Buti Ram R/o Parlah R S Pura, Sgct Gurdev Lal R/o Rahya Samba, Sgct Shamsher Singh R/o Bidhi Pur R S Pura and Foll Kamlesh Kumar R/o Gho Brahmana Samba.
Students and staff members of Government High School Palli (Samba) today gave a farewell to school Head-master S Tirath Singh on  his superannuation after rendering 36 years services in Education Department. The Second In-charge Ms Rani Devi, Master and committee members appreciated the services of Headmaster and wished him a happy and prosperous life after retirement.
Warm send off was accorded to Garu Ram who retired on the post of Chauffeur today from PHE Mech Division South Jammu. The farewell was organized by PHE Department Drivers Cleaners Union wherein Garu Ram was given great honour in the presence of senior officers of the Department and union members. Executive Engineer of the Division Babu Ram was special invitee. Senior leaders of the Union included Mohan Singh, Kartar Chand Dubey and Devinder Singh also spoke. Others present were Naresh Kumar, Inderjeet Singh, T R Bawa, Joginder Singh, Romesh Lal, Chander Mohan, Balbir Singh, Chanjeet Singh, T R Sharma, Sukhdev Kumar, Subash Chander and district office bearers.
A touching adieu was given to Sunil Kumar Jain, General Manager Mark-eting SICOP who attained superannuation today after rendering over three decades services. Besides Managing Director R K Tikoo, other senior officers and staff members of SICOP were also present in the farewell function. All wished Sunil Kumar Jain a happy and prosperous post retirement life.
