SRINAGAR: Government today asserted that the salaries of Rehbar-e-Taleem (RET’s) teachers who have been transferred unauthorisedly will not be released till the time they report back to their original places of posting.

Minister for Education Naeem Akhtar today informed the Legislative Assembly that Government has issued orders not to release the salary of RET’s who have been transferred unauthorisedly. He said that the salary of such RET’s wouldn’t be released till the time they report back to their original places of posting.

Replying to a clubbed question of Chaudhry Qamar Hussain and Shakti Raj Parihar, the Minister said that Government is consolidating the existing infrastructure in Education sector and there is no proposal of any expansion of educational institutions in the State.

The Minister said that 2716 RET’s were engaged in Rajouri district in Jammu region, out of which 2052 RETs stand regularized adding that out of remaining 688 cases of RET’s, 502 have not yet completed compulsory tenure of 5 years for their regularization. (AGENCIES)
