UDHAMPUR, June 24: All J&K ReT Teachers Forum is going to hold one day protest cum dharna at all district headquarters on July 7, in support of their long pending demands.
This was announced today in a monthly meeting, held under the chairmanship of its State president Vinod Sharma, in which large number of ReT and EV teachers participated.
While speaking, Vinod Sharma said that they had projected their demands before the Government many times, but nothing has been done so far, compelling them to come on to roads.
He demanded regularization of EVs as general line teachers, who have completed their seven years since march 2010, inclusion of 5 years rendered service of ReTs for seniority benefits, implementation of Government order No 115 dated 29-2-2008 for old pension scheme in favour of ReTs engaged before 1-1-2010, implementation of Government order for enhancement of wages of ReTs as announced in the assembly session, transfer policy in favour of regularized ReT teachers and provision of SRO 43 in favour of ReTs and EVs.
Najam Jafri, general secretary, appealed all the ReTs and EVs to participate in the said dharna, in their respective headquarters, to get their pending demands redressed by the Government.
Meanwhile, the Forum also took serious concern over the non-payment of salary to regularized ReTs under SSA in some zones of Poonch and Ramban for the past more than two months. The Forum warned that they would hold protest if the pending salaries of the ReTs are not released at the earliest.
Among others present were Rajesh Singh Jamwal, Younis Rahi, Lekh Raj Parihar, Rishi Kumar, Subash Chander, Sukesh Khajuria, Ravinder Singh, Rajeet Singh, etc.
