Sir,
It is very sad and unfortunate that a large hue and cry has been raised on the rehabilitation of KPs who are the aborginal residents of the valley from the times imemorial. They were forced to leave the valley by the forces hell bent upon engineering Islamisation in the province of Kashmir. Kashmiri Pandits left all movable and immovable properties behind and today they are passing 26th year of their exile. The wearer knows where the shoe pinches. Kashmiri Pandits know their sufferings and cannot forget torture and turmoil with which they went ahead during the period of their exile. It looks absurd when some people agitate on this issue that KPs will be rehabilitated in their homeland. It is also strange to note that some main stream politicians also raise issues against the settlement of KPs in composite township. I wonder how can this disturb secularism in the J&K State ? Are not majority community people living inclusters in Jammu and in other parts of the country ? Such type of advocacy does not befit the present day world. The people who are vest interested make a mountain out of a mole. They are simply politicising the issue.
Sky will not fall on earth if Kashmiri Pandits are rehabilitated in a composite township in the valley which is the everlasting solution so far as the issue is concerned.
Yours etc….
S N Raina
