JAMMU, Dec 28: In commemoration of 31st anniversary of Margdarshan Resolution of Homeland for the exiled Hindus of Kashmir to the East and North of river Jhelum (Vitasta), Panun Kashmir (PK) organised a public programme here, today.
The chief guest was Dr.Omendra Ratnu from Jaipur a known ENT surgeon running a NGO Nimittikam with the main purpose of helping displaced Hindus from Pakistan .P.L.Raina anchored the programme and the speakers were Dr. Ajay Chrungoo, Ankur Sharma, president Ekjutt Jammu, Dr. Omendra Ratanu, Bhushan Lal Bhat and Yogesh Pandita on behalf of package employees. The welcome address was given by Shailendra Aima .
A resolution was read by Pran Raina and adopted with a voice vote.
Dr. Ajay Chrungoo, while addressing said, “The return and rehabilitation of the genocide victim Kashmiri Hindus is not possible to Kashmir till the cause of their
genocide is looked into. Kashmiri Hindus were not the victims of the natural calamities like earthquakes and floods but the communalism and separatism unleashed by the fascist forces to change the demographic character of the Valley. Since the Kashmiri Hindus were the upholders of the Indian nation and the Constitution in Kashmir they were targeted
selectively,” he added.
“How is it possible to restore the Kashmiri Hindus in Kashmir when all forms of freedom available in democratic societies are absent there and there is a competitive secessionism going on. The recent target killings of package employees proves that Kashmir is in the grip of the forces who practice all forms of regression to choke freedom available in progressive societies. The return and rehabilitation of the persecuted Kashmiri Hindus is possible only when Margdarshan Resolution is adopted by the State of India as was adopted by the community on December 28, 1991 and the perpetrators of the genocide on the Kashmiri Hindu community are made accountable for their crimes of holocaust and genocide inflicted on them by the fascist and communal forces in Kashmir by enacting proposed Panun Kashmir’s Genocide and
Atrocities Bill,”he added.
Chrungoo said Hindus living in Kashmir are facing a genocide and policy of employment of internally
displaced Hindus, the GoI has been pursuing is by implication a policy of denial of Hindu genocide in Kashmir.
The UT of J&K has been face to face with a Jihadi war since 1989-90 and failure to recognise so has lead to the spillover of this war which is now threatening to engulf the whole of India, he said.
Pakistan is a terrorist State and India should declare it as a terrorist State without further delay. Government of India should understand the situation in J&K without the blinkers of appeasement and wishful thinking, Chrungoo added.
On the occasion of Homeland Day Panun Kashmir led by Virender Raina held a meeting of Political Affairs Committee. It discussed the prevailing political scenario and organizational issues in context with the contemporary challenges and road ahead for KPs.
The meeting was attended by general secretary, Kamal Bhagati, Vimla Chrungoo, Vijay Sapru, S L Bhat, Ashok Chrungoo, Surinder Kaul , Virender Kaul, N M Gadroo, Sameer Mattoo and Sameer Bhat.
Speaking on the occasion Virender Raina said permanent return of KPs is a huge political issue and can only be settled politically by creation of a separate homeland in Kashmir with UT status and Constitutional mechanism where every Indian would be welcome.
