JAMMU, Apr 21: Deputy Commissioner Jammu, Simrandeep Singh today conducted a surprise visit to Nagrota tehsil to inspect the scheduled Girdawri and found the revenue officials absent from duty.
As per the schedule of the Girdawri, the inspection of Khasra Nos. 241 to 320 of village Drabi, Patwar Halqa Bamyals was to be done on 21-04-2016 but the Patwari of Halqa concerned and the Girdawar Circle were found absent. However, on getting the report of the DC’s arrival, Naib Tehsildar Nagrota rushed to the spot.
The Deputy Commissioner has directed the Additional Deputy Commissioner (Adm) to initiate departmental proceedings against the Patwari. Further, show cause notices have been served upon Tehsildar and Naib Tehsildar, Nagrota for lacking supervision over their officials.
