JAMMU, Apr 22: A meeting of All India Migrant Camp Coordination Committee (AIMCCC) was held at Jagti township under the leadership of B K Raina, chairman of the organization.
While addressing the meeting, AIMCCC president, Desh Ratten Pandita said, that LG administration has given instructions to all Deputy Commissioners of Valley to submit report regarding immovable property of all shrines and temples in Kashmir of their respective districts to Government immediately. “We welcome the decision taken by LG’’ he said, adding “As the maximum Deputy Commissioners have collected report from tehsildars for submission but these reports are neither perfect nor based on real records existing prior to mass exodus of Pandits.’’
He said after migration Revenue Department officials have tampered all records and have changed all Khasra numbers so the community has many objections about the report submitted by the DCs to Government.
He demanded a complete probe into the matter and report of the immovable property of shrines and temples be submitted on the basis of records of 1988 i.e prior to mass exodus.
He said Government has released list in which immovable property has been shown for temple’s which is not based on facts so the facts should be brought to light and the land of all Hindu shrines and temples be restored to them. The AIMCCC sought immediate intervention of LG, Manoj Sinha in the matter and demanded action against those who have grabbed the temple and shrines land or sold it.
