MENDHAR, Nov 27: Entire Revenue staff in the office of Tehsildar Mendhar today went on strike in protest against the manhandling of Tehsildar Shahzad Khan by some miscreants during anti-encroachment drive in the town here last evening.
The entire staff including clerks, Patwaris, Girdawars and others struck work today and lodged their protest in the complex. They demanded that accused involved in the attack on Tehsildar be arrested. The people could not avail revenue and other allied facilities due to strike of the Tehsil staff.
The police said to have registered two FIRs in connection with the attack on Tehsildar and burning of a vehicle by some miscreants in the town during violence last evening. No arrest has been reported till this evening in this connection.
