Revoke suspension of medico: DAJ

JAMMU, June 16: Doctors Association Jammu (DAJ) has strongly condemned suspension of a medico in Kashmir for asking a patient and attendant to wear mask, and demanded immediate revocation of his suspension.
“Suspending a medico just only as he asked a patient and an attendant in emergency to wear mask is the high handed act of Anantnag administration, “said DAJ president, Dr Balwinder Singh.
He held the administration responsible for not educating the masses to adopt the protective methods while going to hospitals, and also by not distributing enough masks to masses.
“While the medico on duty did nothing wrong by asking for masks, his suspension has sent a wave of anguish, resentment and discouragement amongst the medical fraternity of UT of Jammu and Kashmir,” he added.
He appealed Director Health Kashmir to immediately revoke the suspension of the medico and simultaneously seek an explanation from the DC as to how he dares to demoralize the community.
